Parks though similar to sports irrigation - i.e. involving a pump a controller, solenoid valves and various sprinklers plus a series of pipe work systems to carry the water.  A public park irrigation system tends to utilize landscape irrigation more intensively. Original design plans are used from the original consultation and planting stage to give a view of the projected growth and maturity of the plants.

An irrigation system when designed for a park involves smaller zoned watering areas – i.e. the water throw of the sprinklers tends to be a lot smaller, there tends to be a lot more sprinklers to cover the planting area to be watered.  Leaky pipe will perhaps be used more for low ground watering to specific areas.
